Our inaugural journey, CBM Takes Italy, is being developed as an intentional blend of artistic growth and cultural discovery. Bobbio will serve as our host community, with planned opportunities to explore the history, energy, and artistry of nearby Italian destinations.

01What is CBM International?

CBM International is City Ballet of Maryland’s cultural-exchange initiative. It creates opportunities for dancers and emerging artists to train, perform, travel, and learn in an international setting.

02Where and when will the first experience take place?

The inaugural experience is being planned for Italy in Summer 2027, with Bobbio serving as the host community and cultural excursions to larger destinations such as Milan under consideration. Final dates and the complete itinerary will be announced as planning is completed.

03Who is the program designed for?

The experience is being developed for three age pathways: ages 8–11, ages 12–17, and ages 18–25, with an additional interest option for parents, guardians, and adult travelers. Final placement, eligibility, supervision, and participation expectations will be explained during the information sessions.

04What will participants do?

The planned experience combines dance training, cultural exchange, performance opportunities, and guided exploration. The final schedule may vary by age pathway and will be shared before enrollment.

05How much will the program cost?

Pricing is still being finalized. The complete program package will clearly explain what is included, the payment timeline, and any fundraising or support opportunities before families are asked to commit.

06Can parents or guardians travel with the group?

Family travel options, chaperone expectations, and supervision plans are still being developed. These details will be addressed in the information sessions and included in the final travel materials.

07What safety and travel information will be provided?

Before enrollment, families will receive clear guidance about supervision, documentation, insurance, emergency planning, accommodations, and participant expectations.

08Does requesting information commit us to the trip?

No. Requesting information or attending a session simply keeps you informed as dates, pricing, and the itinerary are finalized.
